Since 2011, AllDay Vapor has committed itself to producing vape devices, components, and e-liquids that can help people enjoy the vaping experience while liberating themselves from the grip of tobacco.

Their vape liquids and nic salts are some of the most popular in the industry – but they have some people asking, what are VG and PG, and are they safe?

Here’s a quick primer you can use to help you answer those questions.

What Is PG?
PG is one of the two most common ingredients in vape liquids, along with VG. More properly known as propylene glycol, PG is a colorless, odorless liquid that is slightly thicker than water.

It is used in a wide range of consumer goods, from ice cream to pet food to toothpaste, and, of course, in e-liquids. It is “Generally Recognized as Safe,” and as a result is included in a wide range of products intended for consumption – whether eaten, applied topically, or inhaled.

Its function in vape liquids is to help carry the nicotine and flavoring agents, and most vape juices contain anywhere from 20% to 60% PG by volume. High PG e-liquids deliver a strong throat hit and a near-instant nicotine buzz.

What Is VG?
VG, or vegetable glycerin, is the other of the two common ingredients in vape liquids, and like PG, is “Generally Recognized as Safe.” VG is commonly used in foods and other consumer goods such as candles and soaps.

Like PG, is a syrupy liquid produced from the oils of some plants, such as soybean or palm oil. Like PG, it is also colorless and odorless, but it is thicker than PG and also slightly sweet.

Its purpose is also to carry nicotine and flavoring, although it is not as effective at carrying nicotine or flavorings in a vape juice blend, which is why PG is necessary for the blend.

The higher the VG concentration, the less flavor will be produced, and the more irritating the throat hit of the nicotine will be. However, VG is highly effective at producing big, thick clouds.

VG concentrations in vape liquids typically range from 0% (some liquids contain none) to as high as 90% in some e-liquids that produce smooth throat hits and massive vapor production.

The Popularity of AllDay Vapor Liquids
Because of the delicate interplay between PG and VG within a vape blend, most producers prominently advertise the ratio in their e-liquids and nic salts

AllDay Vapor’s blends (particularly their nic salts) typically feature a 55/45 VG/PG blend, for a delicate balance between vapor production, flavor, power, and smooth-hitting enjoyment that old and new vapers alike can appreciate. One might say you could use them for “All Day” vapor enjoyment.

Some of their more popular blends include:

● El Bacco
● Fresh Burst
● Meloha
● Verry Berri
● Blitz
● Mucho Mango
● Smoovie
